Within the Municipal Executive Board

You will work closely with the decisions made in the municipality. By keeping an eye on the big picture and where we are heading, we work with everything that may concern the municipality's residents and employees. We are the ones working behind the scenes, holding together the red thread that leads the municipality in the right direction into the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of a planning architect, you will primarily handle and establish detailed plans, planning programs, and comprehensive plans. You will work independently and are good at managing multiple cases simultaneously. As a planning architect, you will be responsible for and work with the entire detailed planning process, from planning decisions to adoption documents.

In addition to planning work, there is an opportunity to work with community development issues together with other departments within the municipality, as well as through contact with stakeholders, the public, politicians, authorities, and consultants. You are expected to contribute with a positive attitude and knowledge in these areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements for the position are a completed education/degree as a physical planner, architect, urban planner, or equivalent. You are well acquainted with PBL and other relevant legislation. It is an advantage if you have experience with Focus detailed planning and the mapping tool MyCarta.

You have the ability to express yourself very well in speech and writing and can explain complex relationships in an understandable way. Experience in writing service documents as decision support for politicians is an advantage.

To succeed in the role, you need to be solution-oriented, goal-oriented, service-minded, and structured. Since the position involves many contacts both internally and externally, you need to have good collaboration skills, be attentive, and have the ability to build trust.
